Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She has received a lot of praise for being the pioneer of research into witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the context of legal proceedings. Professor Goodman published widely and has won numerous grants, and has been awarded numerous award both international and national. She has been consulted by numerous organizations and government officials across the globe on policy and research concerning children as victims in the legal system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as it was the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional groups, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). She also is a founding part of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's three divisions including Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families policy and practice.
